“Herbie Hancock Quartet at the Round House”

This is an index of all the jazz standards we have posted thus far on Learnjazzstandards.com. This is a growing list, as we post a new tune or jazz article at least 3 times a week.
Our goal is to have 500 or more tunes. Check back often, and contact us at Camdenhughesmusic [at] gmail [dot] com if you would like to see a certain tune!
We have a .pdf file of the changes in C, Bb, and Eb for each tune, as well as a play along, several recordings and videos to help you learn the tunes. Grab a fakebook if you must, but at Learnjazzstandards.com we promote learning the melody from the recording. It’s also helpful to learn the chord changes from the melody, and to use the charts we give as a reference. You don’t want to be stuck in the fakebook all the time! We encourage you to make it your goal to learn as many jazz standards from memory as possible.
Thanks so much!

extremely helpful website!
I just had to leave a message to say you and your website is amazing. It takes hard work to keep it up and running and we, the people are out there that hope to find websites like yours to hone our skills and share the music for the generation out there today and next generation to come.
Much love from over the pond in the UK!
Thank you
I great list of jazz guitar standards. I am interested in what people think are the top ten jazz standards? Thoughts would be appreciate. Post comment here. http://jazzguitarlegend.com/category/free-lessons/
I’m filled with gratitude…thanksYour Comments
Nice work! Keep on helping!
Really good stuff and an interesting project. Will definitely be putting it to use. Keep up the good work!!!
Awesome website I like how the play tracks are kind of sparse. Makes you have to count to play along. Which is exactly what I need.
Bless you! Bless you! Bless you! This is the promised land!!!!
Tito, Glad to help. Spread the word!
Great site…thanks much. Will there be jam tracks sans bass in the near future? They’re always the toughest to find, especially in stereo. Any advice out there?
sito utilissimo,piacevole e istruttivo.
Thanks! Spread the word!
This is a great site for beginners to learn the tunes but also for the more experienced to keep in practice, I love it!
Thanks! Glad you’re finding it helpful. Spread the word!
Dana, we just recently released our first play-along album “Blues In All 12 Keys”. These are some play-alongs we put a lot of extra time into and one of the features includes the bass faded to the left channel. So these you can definitely practice with. Click on “Store” on the menu bar and check it out!
Hi Brent and Camden
Thanks heaps again for this kool web-site.
I actually don’t understand the harmonic reasoning for the last section e.g. why does it begin in D min 7, then rapidly goes to A min 7 then E min 7 ?
I would value your assistance. Thanks !
Hi Amelia, glad you find the site helpful!
I don’t think you specified what tune you are referring to. Let us know and I’m sure we can help you out!
Just a note of congratulations on a great site – very much needed.
Is there anywhere to download all the PDFs in one go?
I guess there will no end of requests for one thing or another (including new songs).
How about:
The Shadow of Your Smile
?
Cheers,
and nice job on the site
Well, I just thought of another one I like:
Almost Like Being in Love
☺
Hi Bruce! Thanks for touching base with us. Really glad you are enjoying the site and please spread the word!
We actually don’t have that option available yet as far as the pdf’s go, but keep an eye out it might be available soon.
Thanks for the tune suggestions, they will be up in the future!
Great concept for a jazz Website! Here’s my wishlist: Tenderly (GOTTA have that one on here), Laura (another must-have), Stardust Melody, I’ll Be Seeing You, More Than You Know, Moonlight In Vermont, Begin the Beguine, Bessame Mucho, Moonlight Serenade, Serenade In Blue, It Had to Be You….oh good grief, there’s soooo many. Thanks for what you’re doing.
I second Swintime Axeman’s request..
Also, the Berkley School of Music Fake Book. THANKS!
I would like to own the followings

Terrific, well organized site. Authentic versions of great songs – easy on the eyes. Keep it up!
Unbelievably amazing website and resource. Can’t believe I haven’t found this sooner.
Well done!
This is fantastic. The idea of having the example versions alongside the playalong tracks is pure genius. Can you add Don’t Explain?
Melomano, Blue Monk is a blues in Bb concert.
This website is a God-send!!!

Thanks for the great website! I’m a poor college student studying jazz and it’s great to use these backing tracks.
Really appreciate the site. Your history/meaning of each song is what sets this resource apart from other places on the internet. Thanks.
This is the single most useful website on the internet for aspiring jazz musicians. Keep up the great work! I’d love to hear an Angel Eyes or Desafinado track at some point as well.
