“If You Could See Me Now” is a tune written by Tadd Dameron with lyrics by Carl Sigman. Dameron wrote this tune specifically for vocalist Sarah Vaughan with whom he had worked closely as an arranger. This song became a signature piece in Vaughan’s repertoire.
This tune, most commonly played as a ballad, has been performed and recorded by many important jazz musicians.
