“Little Sunflower” is a tune written by the great trumpeter Freddie Hubbard off of his 1967 album “Backlash”.
This is a modal tune based around the key of D minor, venturing into Eb major and D major during the bridge.
The tune is originally played with a latin/bossa feel but is fun to play with any straight-eighth groove on it.
