“Billie’s Bounce” is a 12 bar F blues written by Charlie “Bird” Parker. This is a great example of Bird’s bebop style written over a blues. It is important to know the blues in all 12 keys. Click here to learn the blues in all 12 keys:  Blues in All 12 Keys

  1. All Parker-themes are worth to be learned. Best practice is to transpose them through most keys (sometimes the ‘normal’ range of your instrument stops you(Sax)) “in the run” to find out one’s level as a jazzmusician. Try out and you check really your craftmansship…
I work out nearly every week such a tune to improve. Is hard work but helps!
