“In Your Own Sweet Way” is a tune written by the great pianist Dave Brubeck. It was written in 1952 with lyrics written by his wife Lola. This tune has became a very well known jazz standard and is a great one to add to your repertoire.

Aren’t the changes on Miles Davis’ version different than the original? I read somewhere, Wikipedia I think, that he used reharmonization and an 8 bar interlude. I also heard Brubeck say in an interview that his melody is different two. Just getting into the song myself so I have not figured it out yet.
