Bernie’s Tune was written by Bernie Miller. It was made popular by saxophonist Gerry Mulligan on his 1952 record of the same title. Mulligan did not know Miller or know much about him, and even speculated that Miller had been dead by the time he had discovered his music. This is a great piece to add to your repertoire! It is most commonly played in the key of D minor.
