Minor(Maj7) Chord Workout

This post in our Jazz Chord Workouts series is our Minor(Maj7) Chord Workout.  This will help you practice your m(maj7) chords in all 12 keys.  The exercise goes through the Circle of 4ths (C-F-Bb-Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-B-E-A-D-G) and each chord is played for 8 bars before switching to the next. A minor(maj7) of course is simply a minor 7 chord with a major 7th replacing the flatted 7th. In other words the construction of this chord would be: Root-b3rd-5th-7.  Use the chord charts as a guide and the play-along to practice!
