Lick of the Week #9 Minor ii-V-i Using Melodic Minor

The lick of the week is back!  The PDF shows the lick transposed into all 12 keys, but it’s good to do the work yourself and transpose the lick on your own without using the sheet music except as a reference.

The lick is demonstrated in C minor, but uses an arpeggio from F melodic minor over the Dmin7(b5) chord.  It also   has an arpeggio from Ab melodic minor over the G7alt chord.
