Achieve Jazz Blues Mastery With a Step-By-Step Practice Program
Ever feel like your jazz blues solos just sound like boring scales? Like you’re stuck with the same blues scale and minor pentatonic stuff every single time?
Maybe you know some hip blues licks, but when you take a solo it just sounds like you are copy and pasting random ideas.
What if you could break free from those musical chains, and achieve a level of mastery that left you playing killer jazz blues solos every single time?

What if you could break free from those musical chains, and achieve a level of mastery that left you playing killer jazz blues solos every single time?

That was me when I was 18 years old and just getting serious about playing jazz.
I’ll never forget the first jazz jam session I attended.
I didn’t know many jazz standards back then, so when I heard a blues being called, I thought to myself “I got this!”
Coming from a rock background, I thought I had the blues in the bag. Jazz blues couldn’t be so hard, right?
A piano player took the first solo, and what she was playing was blowing my mind.
She was nailing chord changes and weaving in and out of them seamlessly. All of the musicians up there were crushing it!
When it was my turn all I could do was go to what I knew and run to the safety of the pentatonic and blues scale.
After that session, I knew I wanted to figure out what those musicians were doing.
Fast forward and now I am a professional jazz musician living in New York City, author of multiple music books, have hundreds of thousands of followers on my jazz education website, and have helped thousands of musicians in my online jazz courses.
I want to show you how mastering the jazz blues gave me an unfair advantage for all of the rest of jazz improv.

Is this course good for beginners?
If you are new to jazz and are looking to get some skills, this is absolutely a great course for you! As long as you know how to play your instrument, you are good to go. If you are new to taking things into 12 keys, it could be a challenge, but trust me, it will be a good challenge.
If I already have experience playing jazz, is this course good for me?
Absolutely! But make sure it aligns with what you want for your jazz playing. This is a practice program that focuses on fundamental elements of mastering jazz blues material. If you are already happy with your jazz blues playing, this course is not for you. If you are looking for a new jazz theory magic trick, this course is not for you. If you understand the value of improving your blues playing and doing so through a formualic plan, you’re going to love it.
Do you provide Tabs in the Exercise Book?
Unfortunately, no tabs are provided for guitar players. If you don’t read notation, you can still do the course by ear as I provide recordings for everything, but you will be at a disadvantage. Keep in mind there is a lot of transposition done in this course into different keys.
Do you offer yearly credit card billing?
We do, although right now the setup is manual and requires a signed order form. If you're looking to sign up for a yearly plan via credit card, email us at hi@technologyhub.co and we're happy to help.
Is this course good for bassists?
Yes, very good for it! This course is all about improv though, so don’t expect there to be lessons on walking bass lines, especially since this is a course geared towards all melodic instruments.
Is this course good for vocalists?
A vocalist’s instrument is the voice, so yes it can be good for vocalists. But please note that while there are recordings provided for everything, it can be very helpful to read music, therefore having a secondary instrument like piano could be an advantage. It’s also important to note that etudes and exercises are composed with other melodic instruments in mind.
What make this course unique from others like it?
Many other jazz and blues courses are simply a library of content, or a lot of ideas thrown at you with little process. If you want that you can just go to my podcast or YouTube channel.
My super power is leading students from point A to point B. This course is an actual program and process. These are the things that have gotten huge results for me and my students time and time again.
If I purchase the VIP package, when am I able to book my coaching call?
We will book your coaching call within the first 1-3 weeks after your course enrollment. It must be booked within the first month unless the instructor is unable to do so. I want to assess your skills right away and help you get set up for success.
Why does the course cost so much?
It really doesn’t. It would literally cost you over $1,600 to have me walk you through this process in person, forget about the bonuses which easily brings you over the $2,000 mark.
This course is a small fraction of that, or even that of a college course which often is also just a bunch of content and not process (trust me, I have a degree in Jazz Performance).
Also you need to have skin in the game to grow. Trust me, it works every time.
What are the "3 Pillars" of jazz blues language you mentioned, and why practice them?
The 3 Pillars are:
- Blues language
- Playing the changes
- Bebop language
Is there anyone you would NOT recommend taking this course?
Absolutely, this course isn’t for everyone. First and foremost, if you are not willing or don’t have the time to practice, this course is not for you. If you are someone who already feels great about your jazz practicing and feels good about your progress, you may not need the help of this course. If you consider yourself an advanced jazz player, this course could still be great for you, but if you feel like you already practice the core material on a regular basis, you might want to pass up on it. Be sure to read up on the main course goals, and make sure it’s a fit for you.
I don't have time to start the course now, but can I enroll now and start later?
Absolutely, you have lifetime access to the course and can login and start at any time. However, if you wish to order the VIP package, wait until you have time. I only book coaching calls within the first 1-3 weeks after enrollment.
How will I access the course after I've purchased?
I’ll be sending you detailed instructions in an email, so no need to worry! But you will log in to your account at learnjazzstandards.com and find your course access there.
Thanks!
