C Blues

August 14, 2010 in Jazz Standards

This is the third post in a two week series on the blues in all 12 keys. C Blues is one of the most common keys, and is ubiquitous in jazz recordings. It’s probably one of the three most common keys for the blues in jazz music, along with F and Bb. If you go into “blues” and “rock” songs, the most common keys for blues will be guitar keys like E and A blues.
