Autumn Leaves-Part 2

Autumn Leaves is one of the most important jazz standards that you MUST know, and so I’ve put up 2 more playalongs and some additional recordings. It’s usually played in Bb/Gm or G/Em. It’s really in the minor key, but it moves in and out of the major key often enough that it is worth listing it in both keys. If someone asks me what key we should play it in on the bandstand, I’d say either Gm or Em, or I might list both keys. I wouldn’t say just the major key; the last chord is the tonic minor, and therefore Autumn Leaves is a minor tune.
